    Seasons

In the deepest part of winter,
    one would learn and discover,
    the beauty of hidden summer,
    a wonder that lives forever.

With people it is just the same,
their beauty shines when they are bare,
there is something more beyond pain,
    something wonderful in the air.

One gets to experience and feel,
    the tenderness one hides inside,
the warmth that is kept kindled still,
is allowed to be shown outside.

When winter comes near to a close,
    as the walls again re-appear,
the smell of spring tickles the nose,
the songs of the birds play in the ear.

    Memory of late winter chills,
    will still linger even after,
the snow have melted from the hills,
    awaiting the return of summer.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
