Should have known
Knowing the difference in your truth and your lies
But i found comfort in the pain
Cause you don't like the sight of tears falling from my eyes.
Knowing the difference in the fact and what you say,
the chances of you changing are slim to none.
you'll say a few soft words,
filling my head full of clouds but my heart still has a lock with a broken key.
Knowing that i risk my sanity
for each time i say i trust you.
Truth be told
am so afraid of the world beyond these walls
that i keep telling myself that someday this will all be old.
My tears will someday be too dry to cry and my heart will be unable to feel pain.
Knowing you'll never go away
I find comfort in this pain knowing i'll stay
