Two Sided Story
I saw you today
and you didn't even look my way
I tried to call but you acted
as if you had nothing to say
I wanted you to hold me
and say its alright
but all i heard was i have to go
its racing night
i made a promise
to love you til the end
they say that day happens for everyone
i count the days when
happiness is just a phase
and love was its dream
i feel like a cup of old coffee
with a drop of expired cream
sadness has become by bay
and his arms window
have i asked for to much that
life
gaves me so little
I saw you ask me for more
when i walked out the door
i cried why
you said i was the only faith that
gave you belief in the truth and a lie
and when my tears started to fall
you asked if you could catch not just one but all
I asked you if it seem to late
cause i couldn't tell if this love had become real or just a fake
You looked me in the eyes
and i could see your tears start to fall
you backed into a wall
I couldn't stay mad
cause all we do is this
maybe we'll just call it
what it is
a day of hit and miss
and you didn't even look my way
I tried to call but you acted
as if you had nothing to say
I wanted you to hold me
and say its alright
but all i heard was i have to go
its racing night
i made a promise
to love you til the end
