    Simple Friends...Right?

    Simple Friends…Right?

A sweet rose to weather and die,
Thinking of you, takes a lot of time,
We'll be nothing more then friends,
    Watching after each other,
    Day after Day.

My heart gets heavier with the grieving,
I want to be with you,
    But it'll never happen,
    Will it?
    You say.

    We won’t act any differently,
Then what we act like now as friends,
    I think your wrong,
    If it happens,
    I know we’ll change.

    Into something more,
    Than just simple friends,
    It probably won’t matter now,
    Since you’ll be leaving soon,
    Why do I try.

    To make you care,
    We’ll never be anything,
    More than ‘Friends’ right?

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
