    SLEEP MY LOVE

I looked for him one night he was no where to be found
I was tireed and wanted to lay my body down

I waited and I waited, rocked, reeled, and moaned
oh mercy, mercy me - when will Sleep come home

I long to see him, lay upon me soft like cotton
cause my mind to rest, worries forgotten

Oh sleep my love come forth her to me
for my troubles are many, I do so long to be free

Cut off my souls light, I want to shut my peepers
make me to know rest, Tranquility make sleep take me deeper

Sleep, why want you bed me, I brushed my teeth after I ate
I got to work tommorrow and it's getting awful late

Oh dear God, I think I just may have a cow
    Sleep, Sleep where forth art?
have me, I beg thee, take me now!

Fun! I really like the overly serious style in contrast to the light-hearted content. Look forward to reading more of your work!

Thank you WildWill. Ha, whats the story behind the name?

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
