Song Of The Nightingale

Song Of The Nightingale

Listen to the sound of the nightingale,

As she soar's way up in the sky

Telling us all of the things to come

But never the reason why

We are all in need of a better world

She tells us from her heart

Let men and beast all join as one

And help world peace to start

No need for blood shed or loss of life

No need for famine or even strife

Our lives are precious we only have one

Lets all teach our children how to go on

They are our future this world they’ll inherit

What would they think if we just sat and ignored it?

We bore them we loved them oh what can we do

We can sing out for freedom like the nightingales do

One day in the future we may not be here

But the world we will leave will be full of love and good cheer

No fighting no wars no hatred no sorrow

Thank god we stood tall for that better tomorrow
