sticks and stones

Bold print text of bold faced lies
These days bullies don't even need to look their victims in the eyes,
They feel alone and worthless, they need a purpose
So Social network is their net worth
But this power is cowardly, alone and cowering
Tethered to their bed skirts texting out their next hurt
Feeling weak without the power of the internet
They don't need to speak or seek to destroy,
Hell they don't need to leave the bed
It's sad this fad of black print making wrists run red
it's way past getting pummeled for lunch change, these missiles are long range
the saddest thing is these kids aren't held to atone for what they say
Parents aren't clueless to the new schools new tool
But when it comes to accountability
they wanna play the old schools new fool
Batting a blind eye at the internet onslaught
Quoting "sticks and stones," but these words are killing
Parents get coherent to what your kids are feeling
