    Bronze-Blue Light

    Bronze-Blue Light

    (by Angel Clementine)

    Words for some, too hard to say,
    "I'll love you till my dying day."
    But harder, still, those words to keep;
    so, losers lose, and weepers weep.
    With hopeful zest I stood to hear
    blithe birds in bronze-blue sky--
    sweet tears, my answer to their song;
    too good a day to die.

    A voice spoke, "Sadness lasts the night.
    Child, open up your eyes";
    and then I saw you standing near
    my lips, and thigh to thigh.
    That day you came into my life,
    I stepped out through the wall
    to dance with you, our future close,
    beyond my curtain call.

    A room reserved for loving you
    awaits you through my door,
    already glowing with the heat
    of passion and amore;
    desire to hold you next to me,
    forever feels just right.
    Your aural light dispels the dark.
    Your love commands the night.

    Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
