    Suppose to be

    How can you look at me
    The person who is suppose to love me
    and say you hate me
    Aren't you suppose to support me
    be proud of me
    like me
    take care of me
    but yet you
    tease me
    yell at me
    hit me
    and create the monster in me
    Your suppose to represent smiles and happyness
    All I see is anger and my pain
    Aren't you suppose to be MY MOTHER

    Ooooohhhh, Erica, you threw me a curve with this one. So there is a dark side to your innocence. Great write. You let it all hang out with this one. Bet it was hard to post...but it felt good, didn't it? Terrific job. The one thing I a have found about poetry is that it a great way to express your inner most feelings...without necessarily offending. I'm sure you find the same to be true with your music and dance.     Oh my. I went through a stage like this with my mother as well. It wasnt the easiest to go through. I have a twin sister who my mom noticably favored. I told her about it one day and she slapped me accross my face for thinking that she had a favorite. but anyway...This was a wonderful poem none the less

    i LOVE THIS POEM.. MAKES ME FEEL A LIL BAD THOUGH BECAUSE I HAD MY OWN JOURNEY WITH BOTH OF MY PARENTS. JUST REMEMBER REGARDLESS OF HOW THEY TREATED US, U JUST BE THE BEST PERSON U CAN B AND EVERYTHING ELSE WILL TAKE CARE OF ITSELF!
