Sweet Days remembered
Something calls from wood and halls,
At night when moon breaks high.
Something comes from darkness falls,
Over the hills of golden wheat.
Something once spoke like a man,
Now hunts for blood alone.
Something howling snarling, snapping,
Crawls on fingered paws.
Something Sees the dark as day,
and tracks stag of fallow.
Smells the prey upon the air,
hears its heart's beating call.
The rush of the chase,
The chaos of its symphony.
Carving out the ordered life,
leaving all workings of mans wolrd behind.
All but moments in the dark,
Each month comes slowly to that point,
When I fall, when I run,
When by glorious moon I hunt.
At night when moon breaks high.
Something comes from darkness falls,
Over the hills of golden wheat.
Something once spoke like a man,
Now hunts for blood alone.
Something howling snarling, snapping,
Crawls on fingered paws.
Something Sees the dark as day,
and tracks stag of fallow.
Smells the prey upon the air,
hears its heart's beating call.
The rush of the chase,
The chaos of its symphony.
Carving out the ordered life,
leaving all workings of mans wolrd behind.
All but moments in the dark,
Each month comes slowly to that point,
When I fall, when I run,
When by glorious moon I hunt.
