Tangled and happy
Tangled in a web of chain
Caught with others
Holding the link that will release us all
Seeing the tight knots I have woven over a lifetime
Sticking my finger in the middle
To loose the bent loops free.
Sitting, staring, fiddling with the only strand ready to come loose
I pause... slightly
What if I'm free?
Free to just be.
And I keep detangling the chain.
As the necklace begins to unveil itself with smashed links
I place it around my neck again.
Noticing. It's easy to sway in the wind.
Along the crook of a neck
Suspended and link linked together with all the rest.
