The Breath
Slowly sliding through soft, moist lipsThe evening air, the one it kissed
Heated by lungs inferno lasting
A moment til the strong warm blasting
Life's sustainer with rhythmic refrain
That eases a burden and lessens the pain
It strengthens the weary and eases cold death
Eternal supplier, this draught called a breath
It comes from the grass and also the trees
It brings to the stressed great calm like a breeze
From familiar old homelands or worlds from afar
It silently shimmers like the northernmost star
