The Moon Which Stands in Constant Watch

    The Moon's ever changing face
    that rests in the sky
among the millions of tiny, glittering dots,
    that make up the night,
and separate it from the day.

A bright ball, not nearly as bright as the sun,
awaiting its phases, changing it nightly.
Except for one which lasts for two.
And as the first phase comes about
it mightn't be seen at all.

The moon known by several names
    stands watch over the earth
    and all its plains.

The moon which stands in constant watch
    shall change forever.

a blatent way to describe something, very uncommon in these days of underlying meanings....a refreshing read.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
