The only one I can count on...

As I sit here at this desk in this world i can only hope to find you again.
I always awaken myself from nightmares wishing we were on better terms.
I pray for this world to stop spinning, but this ride isn't over yet.
The sun shines through the dark but only a little at a time.
I must find the light and stay near it and fear it at the same time.
I have sat alone in the dark for so long i cannot stand to look at myself anymore.

I forgot what shade of blue the sky was.
I forgot what the world is.
I forgot everything.
But never you.

Everything from the last time we talked, to the last time we made eye contact.
I would try to contact you but I- I forgot how.
I missed the conversations we used to have and the fights where we would not agree.
But of course one of us had to win, it's the only thing understood logically.
I never had any set time or any set responsibility but for you i was the best i could be.
I tried to be. As you can see I failed tremendously.
I've seen the sun and the light is now easy for me to understand.
I need your help to keep going please don't leave me, I wanna be a better man.
