The Two of You
The Two of You
As my life has settled about, the two of you are the joy to my soul
The baby boy God sent to me to brighten my days and for me to soothe his cry, His blonde hair and dark brown eyes, skin as white as snow, as he grew the crying stopped and there was a sparkle in his eyes, he became my closest friend, prince of light: he always called me mom and still to this day, As he grew into a toddler he loved hanging out with me, when we were not around his cousins, he would play with me, we watched his favorite TV shows and camped on weekends in sleeping bags on the living room floor
The baby girl God sent another day, four years, six months, ten days later I must say; she rocked our world in a beautiful way. We welcomed her home with a special cake; we made it into a big party mostly to celebrate. She was a good baby, no crying did she make, and so many pictures we did take along with her brother on that day. She came with dark black hair and eyes of dark brown, though her hair changed to blonde and now brown, She still my princess even today.
Though many years have passed since those days, the two of you are the joy to my soul, you both have grown and moved on in lives of your own, families you now have and you both still make me smile. You share your joys with me. My son you gave me three, my daughter you gave me two and now your children as you bring much happiness to me. Always the two of you are the joy to my soul.
