The wait

The wait

At the end of the day
I wait for love
I wait for happiness
I wait for you

When I drive home from work
I look for love
I look for happiness
I look for you

Wait and look
look and wait
it seems
its all I ever do

At the end of the day
when I am waiting for you
I look for the love
that I once knew

When I drive home from work
and I am looking for you
I wait for the happiness
between me and you

Where are you
when I sit here and wait
are you looking for love
are you out on a date

my mind is racing
my tears have been shed
should I stop waiting for love
should I move on instead

wait and look
and hope for you
If I stop waiting
what else can I do

Another nice one jiminy! You have a neat knack for language and word usage! Well done!

You can leave, and wait on someone else? But then that doesn't solve the problem either, I guess. Of course you could go lesbian. Then you will have a partner who feels exactly like you do...

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
