Poem Commentary

This is a poem I wrote about my father,he'll probably be dead before he read's this anyways....

thru your eye's

If I were in my Father's shoe's
I'd probably of killed myself
He spent his whole life, self distructing
Took his Family for that ride too!
Now he's got Son's and Daughter's in-law
and Grandkid's but doesn't even know it.
He sit's alone day an night,no one care's
CAUSE HE WAS SELFISH
All his Kids say he did this to himself
And he know's they're right
He can't go back to change the past
But Think's there's nothing for the future
So he sit's and waits to die, cause now
he's got stage 3 lung cancer, and said Screw Treatment!

What a sad ending to a sad life. Hopefully he will see the light and try to make amends, of course it could be to late.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
