Poem Commentary

Sometimes you just meet people who think they know it all, who are truly arrogant and like making other feel dumb in comparison.... On such person angered me in early spring of 2010

To One Who Knows Everything

You, who knows everything
Can you tell me why we try?
Can you speak what your truth says
And break down your fabulous lies

And tell me why
And tell me how
And tell me now

For I haven’t the patience to wait for you
To explain your cryptic ways to me
And I haven’t the time to hear your babbles
Of all the world’s greatest mysteries

So will you tell me lies?
Or will you tell me truly?
If you even know honesty

You speak as though sophisticated
You speak as though you know
And all the facts that say you’re wrong
You carefully, considerately forgo.

So ask me to go
If I’ve offended you
If my words are too true

Now. You, who knows everything
You, who’s wisdom river overflows
Throw back your petty esoteric disguise
And show us what you know

And let your words glow
Proving them truly wise
Or is it all just petty lies?

You speak of one who speaks for many giving all a chance to siv and hear...and plenty many of who's annoyed with all the ego overload...their joy is not but little specs...of irritant fumbles...through mind it wrecks...though truth and lie are allies bright in ventures toward a compromise...I sigh at all the bitter despise and ask you back do you think you wise? I sigh and leave to compromise your answer...surely is but a lie...though truth is how you combat lie...though liars print definitive tries...and still retort I call them lies...and back they go to snivel and cry.

Lies are but false understanding of truth, for either the liar or the listener, and sometimes, indeed, both. There is no claim to wisdom within this write, wisdom only comes with knowing how little you actually know... and I know too little to know how little I know. So, to the alliance of Truth and Lies, I must leave to higher judgement. I say what I see, and try not to take any part of lies' distasteful nature, instead trust in my own mind to make a truth judgement, and do not try to change the judgement of another. So, you ask me back, do I think myself wise? No. I do not. I think myself a poet. A mere child, who has seen wisdom in some... and false wisdom in others. And 'tis they, they I speak to...

Anger can be a great muse . . . until you try to pen a sonnet. But I bet you can do that one, too. Harv

Ha ha I saw the title and thought it was about me. Then I read it and found out... it was (X D) I am, however, miraculously unwounded. We hot air types have the power to hear what we want and dismiss the rest as background noise ha ha that's what makes us so loveably irritating : D

I forgot to mention that the hot air permits us to float above the fray : D

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
