To The Lost Times Between Us
And now I see you
and no longer do I feel your warmth surround me
or that feeling I never thought
existed in anyone.
And you ask me if I still love you
and I'm not sure how to say
that I dont think I ever did.
And I think about what might have been
between us
if we both wanted it.
I leave you
and I turn back to see if you still stare back
at me like lost times
when what might have been
between us, walked out -
like me.
And now I see you,
and you offer me hours of apologies
that I dont even feel I deserve.
And I ask you why you took so long
to tell me what it was that you felt,
because I felt the same way
at one point.
I leave you
and you ask others if they have seen me.
You find me and ask me to come back
to you, and I do.
And I see you with the same face
I once had, when I thought it was Love
that I felt for you.
And I think about what might have been
between us
if we both wanted it.
and no longer do I feel your warmth surround me
or that feeling I never thought
existed in anyone.
And you ask me if I still love you
and I'm not sure how to say
that I dont think I ever did.
And I think about what might have been
between us
if we both wanted it.
I leave you
and I turn back to see if you still stare back
at me like lost times
when what might have been
between us, walked out -
like me.
And now I see you,
and you offer me hours of apologies
that I dont even feel I deserve.
And I ask you why you took so long
to tell me what it was that you felt,
because I felt the same way
at one point.
I leave you
and you ask others if they have seen me.
You find me and ask me to come back
to you, and I do.
And I see you with the same face
I once had, when I thought it was Love
that I felt for you.
And I think about what might have been
between us
if we both wanted it.
