Poem Commentary

A little lullaby I wrote for my kids. At the end of the day, being a mom is the only job that matters to me

TO THE MOON AND BACK FOR ALWAYS

Baby boy close your eyes, sleep tight
And dream the sweetest dreams
I'll guard you always
No matter what
On me you can always lean
Tiny girl, so small and frail
For now a bubble is your home
For this life, you'll have to fight
But always know
Your struggles are my own
Sweet Sunshine, so full of love
Though you were not born to me
There is no difference in my heart
Forever more my baby
You will always be
I promise to love you
To the moon and back
For always and forever
As you sleep in peace tonight
Know I love you more than ever
A mother's love has no match
It withstands the tests of time
I was blessed the day God gave
Your hand to hold in mine

A lovely lullaby unsung, but felt in one's heart...and shown with the stroke of a pen....................Lovely........................gogant

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
