Trial: A Murder of the Heart

Trial: A Murder of the Heart

There have been a murder in my heart. The things you did, fell apart. You kidnapped my feelings, made them love and care; then turn and ripped them apart, within thin air.

How dare you come in playing the innocent man. As if you wear the pants. I cooked, cleaned, and even drew your bath. You too tired you say, and all I asked for was a simple dance.

Layed out your clothes, watched the kids, and payed the bills when you couldn't handle.
Bent over backwards, so you can be the judgment panel.

How dare the likes of you kill the love I had inside. How dare you crush it till it died. The man I loved, the man I carried, now standing there asking to be married.

Good luck with that. Hope you find you dream, cause this cute girl has no means for the likes of you. Yes boo boo, we through.  Good-bye.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
