    Poem Commentary

This is more of a tell, tell story, rather that a poem. But poems come in many different form now don't they.

    That Green Eyed Girl

There she was sitting next to you at the table, legs crossed and teasing you with her lushes lips. While I'm at home trying to fix our relationship, you are out with her, whispering in her ear and curling her toes.
Me, trying to get the house ready for our date; going to the store and happen to see you two sitting at the cafe. I just stood there, not knowing what to say.
My love for you went away that day. I planned a new thing to do and say at that moment.  I decided to get a make over. That little black dress, hair done up right, stiletto heels and the fragrance that drives you wild. Just a little or do I go wild?
Invited my friend over to get things started. He touched me and I kissed him. He felt me and I let him. You came home just as we got started mixing and mingling on the couch. Shock took your face and I told you that I saw
    you today.
Hurting that I would do something so vile, you started to apologize and I told you to leave, there was business I had to finish with my friend. After you walk out, I made him leave. Now on the sofa crying. There came a knock
    at the door.
There she stood, clothes in hand. Asking and crying for her special friend. I said come in. We sit on the couch and had a talk. When you came back, there we were, on the couch. Your mistress and your girlfriend; having sex and
    making it wet.
    You didn't expect that!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
