    Wall Flower

I am the wall flower that bloomed unnoticed,
High in the watch tower with plumes of lotus.
I reside in the sky and watch lives pass on by,
My mind following time while my eyes track the tides
Of a life full of factions. With so many actions, content to reaction.
    Philosophical and loving logical.
Taking my fill with reasoning will.
Such an imperfect world, much an ever changing swirl
Of emotion and events, and an ocean of laments.
Yet simple truths bring beauty renewed.
What a wonderful view as I wait for what's new.

I'm always wary of late bloomers up in watch towers Andrew. They tend to go up there armed. Certainly a good effort. Some of your lines have inner rhymes and some don't. Love the bit about your eyes tracking the tides.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
