    Poem Commentary

My sister is pregnant with her first child. I wrote this poem to my first niece or nephew.

    We All Love You

    From your tiny little fingers,

    to your itty bitty toes,

    we all love you,

    this I hope you know.

    Don’t be scared,

    don’t you cry.

    Your mother loves you,

    and so do I.

    Your Grandpa Bubba,

    and your Grandma Do,

why, they’d do anything for you.

    Your Auntie Krissy,

    and your Auntie Jess,

    we both love you,

and we’ll never love you any less.

    So close your pretty eyes

    and drift off to sleep.

    Have no worries,

and dream good dreams by the heap.

We’ll be here for you always,

    no matter what you do,

    just be sure to remember

    -we all love you.
