What is peace?

What is peace?

Peace is the look on a child's face as he/she
sleeps without trepidation.

Peace is the ability to look past a person's
outer shell to their soul.

Peace is the knowledge that the Earth will
continue to breath if handled with care.

Peace is the wisdom each of us possess to
amalgamate the world.

Peace is the strength humanity would achieve
if united as one.

Peace is the honor that can be gained by
those who divest themselves of contempt.

So what is Peace?
Peace can not be bought or sold, but can be
given freely to those who seize the wisdom,
honor and courage to love all.

Interesting words on peace. I like the ending because peace truly cannot be bought or sold "honour and courage to love all".

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
