    . What It means to be me

    "What it means to be ME"


    What happened to you? To us?

    To a moment unrushed.


    Our lives unclaimed, past lovers we blame.
    We think 'the next can only be more of the same'.


    Left lonely and saying "all the same things"...

    still we wait... still we wait...

    while we call normal the pain.


    For the "ONE" that sees us perfect in all our imperfection,

    we learn love, find respect and understand a need for redemption.


    For reasons only I can see, my excuses are replaced -

    I'm ready to believe :)


    "Am I done?", "Is it over?"

    "Can I say I'm free?"


    A voice barely above a whisper says -

    Rest easy, fall asleep,

    you are where you need to be.
