Poem Commentary

For a friend that always in my thought, and I propably love him a lot

Where are you, my love?

Where have you been, my love?
Why do you have to hide from me?
I don't feel like talking anymore
I don't feel like writing anymore
All my words is for you
All my songs is dedicated to you
All my thoughts are specially for you
Don't you know it, my love
I am afraid of watching a love movie
I am afraid listen to a love song
I am afraid of reading a love story
Cause these characters in there are you and me
Vain, so vain and that is probably me
But I am really miss you
Please don't hide from me
Where are you, my love?

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
