    Who knew....

Who knew that you would be
    apart of my life
    who knew you would
    scream, lie, kick, and hit
    but never leave my side

I believe there was a mystical guide that
    let our love collide
my favorite words from the song I like
"it is written in the stars above"

Every fight seemed to rip us apart
but in some odd way brought us closer
I now know the side you hide from
everyone in your life-so soft, & tender inside

The past years we have spent together have gone by so fast
in the blink of an eye
I knew you were my guy

I love knowing I earned my place by your side you look to me for guidance, and
companionship, as I look to you for love dependence, and insight

Your still somewhat complicated yet it keeps my fire alive
I still don't know how you can find love inside of me

I swore to myself their would be no other, I would be strong & independent
I set up walls to keep me hidden inside
but when I look into your eyes, your soul, and your heart

My walls crumble to mere dust as if
    they were never there
You make me want to survive
you are my will to be alive

Your my guiding star, without you I
would be lost, you are my destiny
you are my night sky and we are the stars above

This read like a love letter written straight from one heart to another - yet through your prose you let the reader know that they should be so lucky as to find such a special someone. Great penned passion.

    Thank You!

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
