Why Me?

    Why Me?

Do not open your heart today, for it is much to soon. While you are filled with anger and distrust.
Your heart cries out in pain and it echoes throughout you. Sleepless nights and wasted days, you wish for yesterday, when your smiles were real.
You sit in a corner like a scared child.
You wish to be loved and comforted. You wonder, why me?
Sometimes you feel so alone. Each day the same as the one before. Will you ever get it right?
Can things ever go your way? How do you get back on track? Your life as you knew it destroyed. You wonder again, why me? Your hopes and your dreams for the future are gone.
You realize your only friend, has never been your self or anyone who cared in the end.
You face each day as a struggle to threw your daily tasks. Once again you wonder, why me?
Your tears fall each night on your pillow, as you cry your self to sleep.
You try to cling to your faith. You pray for your god to fix this mess, pleading to him your case. You ask your god, why me?
You know someday, you will conquer loneliness and fear.
You will be a whole person again, able to find love and happiness. You will embrace each new day. Your past will be only memories that strengthen you.
Your courage lies within. But, until the you will always wonder, why me?

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
