Windsong

                                         april’s ember
                                         long denied
                                         waits for me
                                         behind blue eyes
                                         heart calls gently
                                         in the breeze
                                         mine’s like a kite
                                         hung in the trees
                                         string worn bare
                                         almost broken
                                         tail torn off
                                         fabric open
                                         feel the wind
                                         slowly shifting
                                         winter lingers
                                         in the distance
                                         dawn's kind smile
                                         parts the haze
                                         says don’t give up
                                         love finds a way

Fifty character adding up to basically "ditto" to the other comments I made on your work. Bravo! Thanks again for sharing.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
