winter's silent moon

winter's silent moon

~
I lay in bed,
As darkness slowly devours my body.
Waiting for the whispers of slumber to tickle my ear.
I gracefully stroll over to my bedroom window.
As i open the drapes,
A peaceful shade of the silent moon gleams,
reflecting through the stained glass.
Shedding no more than a tear of the luminous glow.
I open my window,
and dreamt I'd walked into another universe.
Turning back to reality,
I open that window,
and my life revived,
sending the hot blaze of summer out of existence.
