You Knew Better

wicked crossword puzzles solved as
sly sun beams ran through the kitchen window
the light bounced off the white paper
and blinded the old cat
her paws tired
she rolled over and let her belly bake
the front door left open

got up from the rug
and ran for the neighbor's garden
holes were dug
flowers trampled
you should have closed the door
but you knew that when you left

These are super! All of them! Keep writing please.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
