We fought.
The biggest battle of my life.
Emotionally draining.
Stressful.
Painful.
When we fought,
I attacked you with the most brutal words I knew.
I glared at you like you like you deserved to die.
I yelled at you, and everybody watched,
like we were a movie,
and they forgot the popcorn.
When friends tried and calmed me,
I hissed them away.
Because this was between me and you.
You yelled at me in response.
So the crowd would have a show.
So they would remember you.
So that you could take the spotlight.
You glared at me,
attempting the dead glare I gave you.
But it was a fake glare,
I could already see it in your eyes.
You were frightened.
Scared.
But you continued.
And you were soon inflamed,
in a matter of seconds.
And rebuked me.
Disdained me with words
unthinkable.
Inside I was crumbling.
But I refused to lose myself.
When I arrived home,
I yelled,
I screamed,
My anger was diffused everywhere.
And then,
I cried.
How could it be this way?
Why?
For the week,
I felt lonely.
I had only lost one friend,
but felt I lost all.
Every time I saw you,
It was like a punch in the throat
where it was to remain to hurt.
After 2 weeks of agonizing pain,
and torture,
you come my way.
Let's be friends, you say.
After all I went through,
I get a "Lets be friends"
Not a
Sorry you were filled with pain, or
sorry you went through so much these 3 weeks,
or even a "if you feel any regret or sympathy for me,
I'm sorry."
Not even a cake.
Just a "Let's be friends"
No.
I've suffered enough.
I'm on my road to recovery.
And having you at my side,
holds me back from sunlight.
Just return to your previous state,
and watch me be better tomorrow...
