    Your Presence

Your presence, even when we are apart, is always with me,
Though your body I cannot caress, nor your eyes can I see.
I relive the smiles, touches, kisses and laughter,
You are my best friend, my lover - now and forever after.

Each day that we share, every memory we create,
I understand that you were sent as my true mate.
The angels brought you to me because they felt my need,
And from the chains of loneliness I was finally freed.

Everything we've said and done,I recall with total clarity ..
Every moment of every day -- my love, this is my reality.
So hold me tight, kiss me, love me and dance close with me,
And I will always feel this way with you -- this is as it should be.

This is a love that from the very first meeting felt right
And I thank the powers that be each and every night.
I thrill to the way I fit to you, and you to me,
Friend, confidant, lover this will always be.

Thank you for the really nice comment. God Bless you right back.. Carol

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
