    A CHILD'S WORLD

    A CHILD AT PLAY
    IT'S EYES FULL OF WONDER
AS THROUGH THE WORLD IT SQUANDERS
IF THERE COULD BE A LOVE SO PURE
AS THE LOVE OF A CHILD
    IN IT'S TENDER YEARS
    THERE'D BE NO HEARTACHES
NO PAIN ,NO TEARS ONLY LOVE,
    JOY,HOPE AND MAYBE FEARS
    FEARS ARE A CHILDS ENEMY
    THEY HAVE NO HATE,NO ENVY
A CHILD'S WORLD IS OH SO PURE
    INNOCENT,AND SINCERE
SO LOOK UPON A CHILD WITH CARE
THE LOVE YOU'LL FIND IS OH SO RARE
    IT'S WORT MORE THAN DIAMONDS,
    SILVER OR GOLD
JUST TO HAVE A CHILD TO HOLD

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
