    WOMAN ALONE

    A NEIGHBORHOOD SO RUN DOWN
NOT REALLY THE BRIGHTEST SIDE OF TOWN
A WOMAN ALONE WITH WALLS SO BARE
A TOUCH OF SUNLIGHT FALLS ON HER HAIR
NINE MONTHS HAVE GONE,IT'S ALMOST NEAR
THE CHILD SHE CARRIES WILL APPEAR
THE SUNLIGHT FADES ,THE TIME IS NEAR
THE PAIN SHE BEARS CAN IT BE REAL
NO ONE KNOWS THE HURT SHE FEELS
A BABY CRIES, A MOTHER DIES
LEFT ALL ALONE TO FACE THE WORLD
A BEAUTIFUL BLUE EYED BABY GIRL
BEFRIENDED BY AN AGED OLD MAN
THE GIRL GROWS UP AS BEST SHE CAN
THE YEARS GO BY HER BEAUTY GROWS
WHAT IS HER NAME NO ONE KNOWS.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
