ROSEBUD
TODAY I SAW A ROSEBUD
ALL TATTERED AND TORN
WHAT USE TO BE A BEAUTY
WAS NOW ALL WRINKLED AND WORN
THERE USE TO BE A SPARKLE
IN THE BEAUTYTHAT WAS SHOWN
BUT NOW IT'S MAGNIFICENT PETALS
WERE BLIMISHED AND TORN
A FLOWER IS A BEAUTY
BEFORE THE PETALS FALL
THEY GROW SO QUICKLY
ALL BEAUTIFUL AND TALL
THEN LIKE THE DUSKY DAWN
BEFORE YOU KNOW IT
THE FLOWERS THEY'RE ALL GONE
THE TWINKLE IN THE STARS
THE SOFTNESS OF THE PETALS
THE AROMA OF THE BUD
THEY'RE ALL GODS CREATIONS
A GIFT FROM ABOVE
ALL TATTERED AND TORN
WHAT USE TO BE A BEAUTY
WAS NOW ALL WRINKLED AND WORN
THERE USE TO BE A SPARKLE
IN THE BEAUTYTHAT WAS SHOWN
BUT NOW IT'S MAGNIFICENT PETALS
WERE BLIMISHED AND TORN
A FLOWER IS A BEAUTY
BEFORE THE PETALS FALL
THEY GROW SO QUICKLY
ALL BEAUTIFUL AND TALL
THEN LIKE THE DUSKY DAWN
BEFORE YOU KNOW IT
THE FLOWERS THEY'RE ALL GONE
THE TWINKLE IN THE STARS
THE SOFTNESS OF THE PETALS
THE AROMA OF THE BUD
THEY'RE ALL GODS CREATIONS
A GIFT FROM ABOVE
