    A Defeat

    My eyes downcast with shame,
    Nobody to love, no one to blame.
    I stand with solitude in this night,
    No moon, no stars, darkness at its height.
    Bleeding, tortured by this defeat;
    With some miracle I want to meet.
    Silenced; I want to say no more,
    Exhausted I am in this lost war.
    But wrong, i never was 'n I won't be,
    Right I am and light i foresee.
    'Cause in the end wrong can't afford defeat,
    For it is only the right whom it meets.

    The End of the poem is a little ruff but the message is there. Everyone goes though defeat in life and that's when you should be working the hardest. 9 : 3

    A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
