    A Flashback Friendship

Forever and always, until the end of the earth
I’ll care about you, no matter what you consider your worth
You say it’s pointless, useless for me to care
But I say it’s my choice, try to stop me if you dare
Yeah the past was really bumpy; it was a really rough ride
Yet I wouldn’t trade it for anything no matter what the price
The friendship we have is impossible to break, no matter how hard you try
Because I still see the sparkle behind the sadness, when I look into your eyes
I know how much you really care despite the words you say
I know you’ll remember the feeling and it will come back to you one day
I know you’ll remember how once upon a time
You called me your BFF and placed your hand in mine
You promised to be by my side through every little thing
You said you’d never make me cry but instead make my heart sing
Everything you once said I still chose to hold dear
And ill always be waiting, I’m staying right here
You may want me gone, way out of your sight
But ill never be complete without you in my life
I will always love you even when we are apart
Because I meant what I said, when I gave you a piece of my heart

well agrees with other comment, the what happens when... if one loves with only the return in mind, the world would be even less human, less creative, less forgiving and hope wouldnt be counted at all 10 all around andrew

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
