A Simple Complicated World
My mouth is closed,
but I'm saying so much
I have perfect vision,
but I am blind to the understanding of people
My hearing is clear,
but I am deaf to the beating of their hearts
My feet are standing on solid ground,
but I feel nothing beneath me
My soul is invisible,
but it is stronger than any muscle
My heart is only the size of my fist,
but it holds more than the tallest building
I am young,
but I hold more wisdom than some of my elders
I am an adult,
but I hold the honesty of a child
When I was little, I was told
that when I grew up, all of my questions
would be answered
but I just grew up to ask more questions.
but I'm saying so much
I have perfect vision,
but I am blind to the understanding of people
My hearing is clear,
but I am deaf to the beating of their hearts
My feet are standing on solid ground,
but I feel nothing beneath me
My soul is invisible,
but it is stronger than any muscle
My heart is only the size of my fist,
but it holds more than the tallest building
I am young,
but I hold more wisdom than some of my elders
I am an adult,
but I hold the honesty of a child
When I was little, I was told
that when I grew up, all of my questions
would be answered
but I just grew up to ask more questions.
