    Sticks and Stones

If you have to hurt me
    please throw sticks and stones
    I can't handle internal pain
but I can deal with a few broken bones

    My physical wounds
    will someday heal
    you must realize
    my broken heart never will

    Doctors can give me medicine
They say thats all it takes
but only you have the power
    to ease this heartache

    Doctors can even replace
    some organs on the inside
but nothing can take the place
    when a soul has died

So please use sticks and stones
if you must commit this crime
    because your painful words
leave scars that last a lifetime.

just hit me it would hurt less.....yes i know this feeling well....good job

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
