A Toast To You Dad

A Toast To You Dad

Drink some more, dad
Go ahead get mad
Make a big scene
The booze is real mean
throw a tantrum

I wont say a word
Bottle it up put it on file
I can't yell back
Clench my teeth, and smile

Let my anber go numb
Close it down, put it on ice
Showing it is so dumb
My mind's silence is so nice

Sleep it off
hangover in the morning
A new day another drink..
A toast to you dad
       CHEERS

can wholly relate to this,, like u dont even know how much

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
