“Voice Of a Dream Girl”
“Voice Of a Dream Girl”
By
Jack Dowdy
What fatigue now plagues my physicality?
What blank does oppresseth my mentality?
It cometh not unwelcome,
And, in fact, was beckoned near.
And now this divine singing,
Do i now hear hit mine ear.
With this sweet voice of an Angel,
That doth wipe away the pain.
If i see not this earth-angel,
It shall make me go insane.
Therefore show thine self sweet angel,
And suppress my dreams no longer.
Or if thou shall not, Oh Angel,
I shall pine away the fonder!
