    affirmative action

in a delapitated dream lies a preposterous proposition for possession of my so called sanity.
in a belated action, i sold my soul to the greed of fantasy, serving no such thing as honesty. i traveled through all dimensions of this world in search of a nirvana-like substance in high hopes of creating a perfect ambience within the compounds of my ignorance. but so futile was this use of non-renewable sources of energy, instead of sympathy, i reaped the consequences of past atrocities.
so you see, to safeguard the convenience of your homegrown morality, you just have to stop dreaming, open your gleaming eyes to the forte' of a human being and that would be in the reality we label presently living.

Goodness, are you a rhodes scholar? I loved your poem, in fact the vocabulary kept me on my toes. It is not an easy read but it is well worth the reading.

Wow, first poem I've read on here that's earned a 10 from me, good job man! Not that I'm anyone important or anything, but this was a really good piece man. Thanks for sharing.

well, thank you, i feel highly accomplished then, no sarcasm hinted..haha, this poem was actually birthed from a challenge to me...someone wrote a bunch of random words down and i was to write about them

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
