    Friggin Emotions

roll with me, understand me, without touching me,

    try to feel me.

I have this infatuation with our latest conversation.

You tried to keep it tight,

Hoping it would sound right, fearing with

    Hopeless desperation, my imagination

    Might elope with fading fascination.

Your voice, with urgency, spoke of tendencies

To expose the loss of curiosity

    In emotional equality…

Well that's the one thing wrong within our thinking…

    This ain't no competition,

    You don't need your ambition

To be an inspiration for my inclination

Towards aspirations of capturing your emotions through the creation of a love potion

Just lay back, relax, accept the facts,

I may run through you like tunneled train tracks

When I retract the power of my eye contact.

Don't fear this instead, be fearless.

    have knowledge of our privilage

to win some and lose some

in this endless process of wins and losses,

as it may become tiresome, sometimes lonesome

in the presence of emotion's kingdom.

Without a clue, fly through your relationships,

Like the kamikaze through well-equipped battleships

And pray your soul away that god doesn't blink

If YOU should begin to sink.

So, try to strain against the stain of mundane pain

When it attempts to drive you insane

To the POINTE of no return

Where you can no longer feign ability

    To proceed without a cane.

Clearly in the midst of tension,

    Bartered with possessions from

Our transgressions, we are still able to

    Build foundations within the gyrations

    We label our emotions.

I really like your vocabulary bro. There were a few parts that I felt could be improved though. Like the last line of the first stanza, "of love potion, capturing your emotion." Maybe try "of a love potion, to capture your emotion." I was also thinking that the second line of the second stanza could say "of a tunnels train tracks" instead of "tunneled train tracks." Take it or leave it, I'm only trying to help.

good piece of advice, i'll look into it as soon as i get off my lazy ass...lol

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
