Apartment Complex
well we weren't made for publicso affection was never displayed
people would never understand
of our peculiar love anyway
strangers were not to be trusted
with secrets and personal things
i said it was a minor adjustment
she said it was everything
because when we die
all we leave behind
is our love and our belongings
walking around in downtown Soho
told her i want to feel love like John and Yoko
i said i'll try to explain that our love is diifferent
she said "tell them in a song, and maybe they'll listen"
so thats what i've done all along
to the one that went missing
who's construction of faith
was of cardboard and clay
so worried about what other people would say
you would strive for such perfection
tales of your downfall you never dispell
but making no mistakes can also be a mistake in itself
