BAD DREAM
BAD DREAM
Knife to your throat, your arm is bent
The pain is real, the energy spent
Open eyes with tears, a piercing loud scream
Confusion sets in; it’s just a bad dream
It is so real it hurts; it’s so hurtful it’s real
You are awake now, what’s the big deal
Afraid to lie down, no more falling asleep
The pain is so sharp, the scars are so deep
One day on a plane, you travel, you are flying
Next day on the beach, you swim, you are drowning
You can’t live in fear, you can’t fear life
Dreams hunt you; on your throat is the knife
You think you are sick, you are living in hell
You are going crazy, you are feeling unwell
But it is all a dream, all gone when you awake
But nightmares are good, reminder of what is at stake
