    IT IS SAD

    SAD
You wish you could stop this pain
But all you have tried is tried in vain
It hurts, you tried to tell her, but it is what it is
It was the little things, she was not meant to be his

The little things that can keep things alive
The little things that can bring down a tree
You wish you could take it back and be free
From the feelings that made you say goodbye

    You are physically drained
    You are emotionally empty
There is no more fight in this dog
Your body and mind feel heavy

She could not see it, to you it was obvious
Lack of respect, are you serious?
You could have dealt with what is expected
But you could not deal with being disrespected

A simple photo, are you for real?
That is what broke the camel’s back?
Still she could not see how that made me feel
Deal with it! Once again you’re under attack

I wish not to fight any longer
I really wished I could be stronger
But there are certain things we can’t live with
And pretending they don’t matter is a myth

Yes, it hurts and it will hurt for a while
Especially when you know you still love her
You still crave her lips, her stare
And you wish you could be right there

You can’t stop looking at her photos
But you remember there were others
And it hurts, it cuts, it tears
It feels bad, it brings up the fears

You wish she could have known the ache
You wish that it can be erased and forgotten
But it is obvious you were simply too different
Different enough not to see it the same way

    One will never admit fault
Neither will, so this comes to a halt
Your eyes are now bleeding clear blood
It comes out like rivers, a burning flood

Different enough not to make it work
Maybe it was that you were too similar
You both hurt when you are appart
But you can superglue a car part, not a heart

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
