    BAD NEWS HONEY

    BAD NEWS HONEY
    Bad news honey
    I had to tell you
    Bad news baby
I had to share with you

    She falls to the floor
    Devastating news
She does not want to share
In fear of what it might bear

    Blood poured like streams
    Made no sense
    Streams turned into rivers
    Situations turned tense

    Fruit conceived from love
    Nobody knew
    Until it was too late
Fate would not hold it true

    Scream until you turn blue
It will really do no good
    Fate would not allow it
Split before he knew the truth

    She carried his baby
    She did not even know
    She found out later
    After she had let go

    A phone call, a text
    Devastating news
    She had to share
    She could not alone bear

    It does not seem fair
    He is left speechless
He is left to his own thoughts
He is simply left to be

    She is not over him
    He is not over her
    The news that were shared
    Have left him numb

    He can’t concentrate
He can only think of why
She could not love him enough
    To show him she cared

    Bad news honey
    I had to tell you
    Bad news baby
I had to share with you

All you had to do was smile
All you had to do was kiss me
    Hold me, touch me again
To have me back, don’t miss me

Don’t miss me now, it is too late
This is when, I cut the chord
    Fate brought us together,
    Fate brought us apart

    Bad news honey
    You had to tell me
    Bad news baby
You had to set me free

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
