    Battle Scars

    The last battle we had
    Left behind some bruised feelings
I have tried to put it to rest
    Like counting sheep
    I am losing sleep
    Your words written in Ink
    Cut Deep
    Like Barb Wire
I am trying to get loose
    As its ripping my skin
How do I make it better?
    Without tearing it off
    The Scab left behind
    How do I explain ?
    How I am feeling
    Without Tears
    No Fears
Of being seen as a Basket Case
    When its just me
    Reaching out for you
    I am your other half
    And I am missing Us
I just want to be heard
So we can make us whole again
